Zeroboard | News regarding the acquisition of Dataseed, a solution for collecting and analyzing ESG information

- "Dataseed" is available from today as part of the ESG information unification solution "Zeroboard Sustainability Platform" -

Zeroboard Inc.(Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Michitaka Tokeiji; hereinafter "our company"), which supports corporate sustainability management, is pleased to announce that it has entered into a business transfer agreement with Dataseed Company (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Masashi Fukuda; hereinafter "Dataseed") regarding "Dataseed," a data collection, analysis, and improvement support solution for enhancing ESG management, and that the transfer was completed on July 1, 2024. From today, our company will continue to develop and provide "Dataseed" as a Service, strengthening Support for Sustainability Management.

background purpose

In Japan, rules are being established for the disclosure of corporate GHG emission amount and climate-related financial information in preparation for the government's declaration to achieve a carbon-neutral society by 2050. We were the first in the industry to launch " Zeroboard ," a cloud Service that efficiently calculates and visualizes GHG (greenhouse gas) emission amount from corporate activity , and have since supported corporate decarbonization efforts.

Additionally, the importance of sustainability-related information as an indicator for evaluating companies is beginning to be recognized globally, and there is a growing need to manage, analyze, and disclose ESG (environmental, social, and governance) information that goes beyond GHG emission amount.

However, many companies struggle with the complexity of collecting ESG data, and are also faced with the Issue of not being able to utilize the collected data in their business management or efforts to improve their corporate value. Enhancement of ESG information collection, analysis and improvement support Service

With this business acquisition, we will begin offering "Dataseed" as an "ESG information visualization and analysis Dashboard " that is part of the ESG information centralization solution " Zeroboard Sustainability Platform (※)."

Strengthening organizational capabilities through accrual hiring

At the same time as acquiring the business, we welcomed all of Dataseed's employees to our company.
