Zeroboard Inc.(Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Michitaka Tokeiji ; hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), which operates the CO2 (carbon dioxide) emission amount calculation and visualization cloud Service"zeroboard ," has reached a basic agreement today, September 22nd, to collaborate with The Kansai Electric Power Company,Incorporated, Inc. (Head office: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture; CEO: Takashi Morimoto; hereinafter referred to as "The Kansai Electric Power Company,Incorporated ") to realize a zero-carbon society.
As the global trend toward decarbonization continues, companies are being asked to take steps to reduce their CO2 emission amount . To do so, they must first understand the CO2 emission amount associated with their business activity , and then consider and implement specific initiatives to reduce emissions. However, as this requires the collection of a huge amount of data both inside and outside the company, many companies face Issue in calculating these figures.
Against this backdrop, through our collaboration with Kansai The Kansai Electric Power Company,Incorporated, we are working to establish a collaborative model with solution providers that utilizes our CO2 emission amount calculation and visualization cloud Service, "zeroboard," and will strive to make "zeroboard" the data infrastructure for a decarbonized society, while also aiming to contribute to the realization of a zero-carbon society.
Specifically, we will link the electricity and gas usage data of The Kansai Electric Power Company,Incorporated's customers to our "zeroboard" to simplify the calculation of CO2 emission amount . Furthermore, we will work to enhance and expand the Service , such as by considering adding a function on " zeroboard" that will enable simulation of CO2 emission reductions when The Kansai Electric Power Company,Incorporated 's solution is adopted.
Through this collaboration, we aim to contribute to the realization of a zero-carbon society and will continue to develop the Service so that it can be established as one that meets the needs of the companies that use it.
About zeroboard
This is a cloud Service that calculates the amount of CO2 emitted by corporate activity and visualizes Scope 1 to 3 (*2) of the GHG Protocol (*1), an international standard.
