"Zeroboard" selected as official tool for calculating greenhouse gas emission amount for the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo

Zeroboard Inc.(Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Michitaka Tokeiji; hereinafter "our company"), which supports companies in achieving carbon-neutral management, is pleased to announce that its cloud service, "Zeroboard ," has been News as the official tool for calculating and visualizing greenhouse gas (GHG) emission amount at the 2025 World Exposition in Japan (Osaka-Kansai Expo; hereinafter "Expo").
The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (Chairman: Masakazu Tokura, hereinafter referred to as the Expo Association), a public interest incorporated association organizing the Osaka-Kansai Expo, has published the "EXPO 2025 Green Vision," which summarizes the direction to be taken and potential core measures regarding decarbonization and resource circulation. The EXPO 2025 Green Vision summarizes the direction to be taken and core measures from four perspectives: decarbonization, resource circulation and environmental economy, natural environment, and cross-cutting issues. In particular, the decarbonization section publishes the calculation scope for GHG emission amount at the Expo and the BAU (Business as Usual) emission amount.
We support the EXPO 2025 Green Vision and have been approved as a sponsor of "Zeroboard" as an official tool after a public call for proposals and review by the Expo Association. We will support the Expo Association's calculation, visualization, and monitoring of GHG emission amount from BAU to fiscal 2026 (until the end of the Expo), and will contribute to realizing the Green Vision for the Osaka-Kansai Expo.
The EXPO 2025 Green Vision, provided by the Expo Association, has already published the results of visualization work undertaken with the cooperation of Zeroboard.

This is the first time in Japan that a cloud Service like " Zeroboard " has been used to calculate the GHG emission amount of a large-scale international Events . The emission amount data and know-how that will be calculated together with the Expo Association can serve as a model case for international Events in Japan, and it is expected that they will be used in future Events as well.
We will not simply calculate emission amount, but as a GHG data platform provider, we will continue to work hard to decarbonize not only companies but also groups and organizations by linking data from various parties, supporting actions for reduction, and using statistical data to identify Issue.
Expos are an opportunity for new technologies and products to be created and enrich people's lives. We are working hard to ensure that the results of our collaboration with the Japan Expo Association become the standard for decarbonization efforts in society, and serve as a trigger for accelerating actions to resolve the social Issue of climate change and achieve carbon neutrality. The theme of the Osaka-Kansai Expo, scheduled to be held in 2025, is "Designing a Future Society for Life," and with five years remaining until the target year, the aim is to "contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)." The area of climate change, which Zeroboard is involved in, is also an important theme of the SDGs, with many countries and companies working to address it, and the Expo site is likely to feature many exhibits aimed at realizing a carbon-free society.
Furthermore, the concept of Expo Osaka, Kansai is "a laboratory for future society." We, living today, believe that we have a responsibility to ensure that the vision of the future exhibited at the venue does not end up as a mere dream or fantasy. Just as the 1970 Osaka Expo showcased Japan's underlying strength at the height of its rapid economic growth to the world and left a strong impression on people, Expo Osaka, Kansai must fully showcase Japan's technological capabilities to the world and serve as an opportunity to increase Japan's presence in a society transitioning to carbon neutrality. As one of the sponsoring companies, we will do our utmost to make this a reality.
