Zeroboard and Chiba Bank enter into business partnership to support decarbonized management

Zeroboard Inc. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Michitaka Tokeiji ; hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), which develops and provides the GHG (greenhouse gas) emission amount calculation and visualization cloud Service"zeroboard , " has entered into a business partnership (hereinafter referred to as "the Partnership") with The Chiba Bank, Ltd. ( CEO : Tsutomu Yonemoto) to support decarbonized management.

The movement towards decarbonization is accelerating globally, and listed companies in particular are now being required to disclose climate-related financial information (risk and opportunity analyses, CO2 emission amount indicators, etc.) alongside their financial statements. Against this backdrop, we have developed and are providing " zeroboard ," a cloud Service that calculates and visualizes not only emission amount based on a company's own Energy use, which falls under Scope 1 and 2, but also supply chain emission amount , including Scope 3 .

The purpose of this partnership is to support the decarbonization of Chiba Bank's client companies and to cooperate with local governments in Chiba Prefecture to promote zero-carbon cities. The two companies will jointly promote investment and financing that evaluates contributions to the SDGs, such as sustainability-linked loans, and work with local governments that advocate zero-carbon cities, thereby contributing to the decarbonization of local companies and the realization of carbon neutrality in the region.

Service to be considered through this partnership

1) Consideration and implementation of projects to promote behavioral change toward zero carbonization in the region (including public relations, seminars, etc.)
② Providing decarbonization solutions using "zeroboard" ③ Considering a loan system that contributes to regional decarbonization ④ Promoting zero carbon cities ⑤ Collaborating with the corporate portal site "Chibagin Business Portal" etc.

About zeroboard

A cloud service for calculating and visualizing the GHG emissions from corporate activities and originating from the supply chain, based on the GHG Protocol*1 international standards.
