Zeroboard Inc.(Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Michitaka Tokeiji ; hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), which develops and provides the GHG (greenhouse gas) emission amount calculation and visualization cloud Service"zeroboard , " will begin collaborating with TOYOTA TSUSHO CORPORATION(Nagoya Head Office (Main Office): Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture; Tokyo Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Ichiro Kashitani; hereinafter referred to as "TOYOTA TSUSHO CORPORATION ") to provide a one- Top solution for calculating GHG emission amount and proposing reduction proposals to business partners.
The Japanese government has set a goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, and has announced that it aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 46% from fiscal 2013 levels by fiscal 2030. To achieve this, decarbonization is being promoted, and financial markets and business partners are calling for companies to understand and reduce GHG emission amount , particularly CO2, associated with their business activity , leaving many companies Issue to respond.
We have developed and are providing " zeroboard ," which can calculate and visualize Scope 1 and 2 emissions based on a company's own Energy use, as well as Scope 3 emission amount from supply chains other than the company. Calculating Scope 3 emissions with " zeroboard " not only uses standard values published by the Ministry of the Environment and other organizations, but also collects and uses primary data (actual supplier values), making it possible to reflect suppliers' efforts to reduce emission amount in the calculated values and lead to GHG reductions throughout the supply chain.
The January 2022 release of " zeroboard " has been certified by a third-party organization as being valid in accordance with ISO14064-3, ensuring that calculation results are designed to be calculated and output appropriately based on the GHG Protocol, providing a Service that combines functionality and reliability.
Through this collaboration, TOYOTA TSUSHO CORPORATION will provide its business partners with a one-package solution that includes GHG emission amount calculation and visualization, as well as decarbonization solutions.
Specifically, in collaboration with TOYOTA TSUSHO CORPORATION , we will calculate GHG emission amount from Manufacturing , primarily the automotive industry, and, based on the results, provide decarbonization solutions such as renewable Energy to the entire supply chain. zeroboard's strength is its ability to link data across the supply chain, simplifying the collection and sharing of Scope 3 data and contributing to reducing the effort required to understand supply chain emission amount and improving their quality.
The two companies will be among the first to make emission amount visible across the entire corporate supply chain, and will work hard to contribute to improving corporate value and realizing carbon neutrality in society.
