Zeroboard participates in the "Fry to Fly Project" aimed at realizing a decarbonized society through domestic resource circulation
Zeroboard Inc.(Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Michitaka Tokeiji ; hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), which provides the GHG (greenhouse gas) emission amount calculation and visualization solution "Zeroboard ," is pleased to announce that as part of its efforts to embody its corporate philosophy of "Turning climate change into possibility," it has joined the "Fry to Fly Project" (hereinafter referred to as "the Project"), a project aimed at realizing a decarbonized society through domestic resource News , from October 2023.
Following the adoption of the Paris Agreement, the Japanese government declared "carbon neutrality by 2050" in 2021, and also announced that it would "reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 46% by 2030 (compared to fiscal 2013 levels), aiming for an even higher 50%." (*) In order to achieve carbon neutrality, we believe it is important for companies and individuals to take environmental issues, including climate change, as their own responsibility and consciously get involved in activity.
With this in mind, we agreed with the purpose of the "Fry to Fly Project," which provides the possibility for anyone to have fun while directly contributing to decarbonization through resource circulation, and decided to participate. This project is an effort to realize a world where aircraft fly on SAF (sustainable aviation fuel), which is made by recycling domestic resources such as cooking oil (waste cooking oil) used at home and in stores, and it is said that SAF can reduce CO2 emission amount by approximately 80% compared to conventional aviation fuel.
We provide " Zeroboard " , a GHG emissions calculation / Visualization solution for companies and local governments, and support decarbonization management by accompanying companies in taking action to reduce emission amount. With this participation as an opportunity, we will work with stakeholders such as "Zeroboard " user companies, alliance partners, and local governments to collect waste oil and publicize the project. We also plan to work with companies participating in the project to activity activity as various seminars.
