(President and CEO: Kanema Yuji), both of the Hokuhoku Financial Group, will begin handling " emission amount ," a GHG (greenhouse Zeroboard ) emissions calculation and visualization The Hokkaido Bank, Ltd..
This initiative aims to support the decarbonization of business management at Hokuriku Bank and Hokkaido Bank's client companies by providing support for the introduction of our cloud Service"zeroboard."
"zeroboard" is capable of calculating and visualizing GHG emission amount, such as CO2, from corporate activity and emission amount from their supply chains based on the GHG Protocol*1, and the validity of the system has been guaranteed by international inspection and certification organizations (verification in accordance with ISO14064-3*2).
With the growing need for sustainable finance such as green loans, and the disclosure of CO2 emission amount now affecting capital costs, we will support companies that are working to calculate and visualize CO2 emission amount through " zeroboard ," and contribute to achieving carbon neutrality in the Hokuriku and Hokkaido regions.
*1: An international standard for calculating and reporting GHG emission amount, which calculates GHG emission amount from businesses and their supply chains in categories Scope 1 to 3.
(Scope 1: Direct GHG emissions from our own business activity, Scope 2: Indirect GHG emissions from the use of electricity, heat, and steam supplied by other companies, Scope 3: GHG emissions from the supply chain related to business activity other than those mentioned above)
