Zeroboard Participates as Panelist in VietinBank Workshop “GHG Emission Reduction: Opportunities and Challenges for Businesses
Sharing insights on GHG calculation, MRV tools, and advancing GX and DX together for Vietnamese businesses
Zeroboard Inc. (Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Michitaka Tokeiji; “the Company”), which supports corporate sustainability management, announces that it participated as a panelist in the panel discussion at the workshop “Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emissions: Opportunities and Challenges for Businesses,” hosted by VietinBank (Hanoi, Vietnam; Chairman: Mr. TRAN MINH BINH).
The workshop was held on June 25, 2026 in Hanoi and on July 3, 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City at VietinBank buildings. Experts in ESG, greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory, carbon credits, and sustainable finance, as well as business representatives from across Vietnam, took part. From Zeroboard, Pham Gia Huy (Customer Success Manager) participated as a panelist. Zeroboard’s local partners, VIETNAM ENTERPRISE GOVERNANCE PLATFORM JOINT STOCK COMPANY (“EGP”) and CGS Vietnam Joint Stock Company (“CGS”), also participated in the event.

Background
In Vietnam, as the country advances toward its 2050 net-zero goal, strengthens GHG inventory regulations, and develops its carbon market, demands for ESG data transparency from export markets, investors, and financial institutions are growing. For companies, managing emissions data is increasingly linked not only to regulatory compliance but also to competitiveness and access to finance.
VietinBank is promoting sustainable finance, including Sustainability-Linked Loans (SLL). and as we announced in March 2026 , “Zeroboard” has been adopted under VietinBank’s SLL program as a tool for calculating and managing GHG emissions and related KPIs. Together with EGP and CGS, the Company supports the implementation of sustainable finance in Vietnam from a data infrastructure perspective.
This workshop was held in that context as a forum for practical discussion on corporate emissions management, GHG inventory, ESG data transparency, and sustainable finance / SLL.
Key messages from the panel discussion
In the panel discussion, the Company emphasized that GHG calculation should be positioned not merely as regulatory compliance, but as a foundation for reduction roadmaps, supply chain responses, and the use of sustainable finance. The main points shared were as follows:
- GHG calculation and visualization are the starting point for decarbonization management, and it is practical to begin with major emission sources and expand step by step
- MRV (Measurement, Reporting and Verification) tools can help standardize data collection, reduce input errors, improve approval and verification processes, and enhance transparency of reported data
- Rather than treating Green Transformation (GX) and Digital Transformation (DX) separately, managing emissions data on a digital foundation enables integrated progress on regulatory compliance, customer requirements, explanations to financial institutions, and future carbon market readiness
- Rather than aiming for a perfect system from the outset, it is important to start early and improve data quality and management processes with each reporting cycle
- The Company also reaffirmed that managing emissions data with reliability supports responses to customers, investors, and financial institutions, access to sustainable finance, and readiness for future carbon market developments.
Through collaboration with financial institutions including VietinBank and consulting partners, the Company will continue to raise awareness in the Vietnamese market and address practical business needs for MRV / GHG management solutions. Alongside the expansion of SLL, the Company will support the implementation of decarbonization management across Asia, starting from robust emissions data.
