Zeroboard selected for the FY2024 Supplementary Budget "Global South Future-Oriented Co-creation Project Subsidy (Small-Scale Demonstration/FS Project)"

We have launched a pilot project to digitize sustainability reporting for export companies in the PEZA Special Economic Zone in the Philippines.

Zeroboard Inc., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Michitaka Tokeiji; hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), which supports corporate Industry management, is pleased to announce that it has been selected for the FY2024 Supplementary Budget "Global South Future-Oriented Co-creation Project Subsidy (Small-Scale Demonstration/FS Project: Second Call for Applications)," following its selection for the FY2023 Supplementary Budget "Global South Future-Oriented Co-creation Project Subsidy," which is News by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

This project will conduct a proof-of-concept (PoC) to digitize the Sustainability Reporting Guidelines for Enterprises (SuRGE), which are currently operated manually, targeting export companies within special economic zones under the jurisdiction of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA).

Project Background: Supporting Philippine export companies' sustainability reporting through digital transformation (DX).

In the Philippines, export companies concentrated in economic zones under the jurisdiction of PEZA are required to voluntarily submit sustainability reports based on SuRGE. However, the current reporting process is manual, resulting in a heavy workload for companies and making centralized data management by PEZA difficult.

Against this backdrop, this project will conduct a demonstration of SuRGE digital reporting using "Dataseed SAQ," a survey distribution and response efficiency platform provided by our company. The aim is to establish an operational model that simultaneously reduces the reporting workload for participating companies and visualizes PEZA's policy KPIs.

Summary of selected project

Project Name: Demonstration Project for Digital Transformation of Sustainability Reporting for Export Companies in the Economic Zone of the Republic of the Philippines (PEZA) Project Period: April 3, 2026 - February 28, 2027 Service: This project will demonstrate the digitalization of sustainability reporting (SuRGE) for export companies in the PEZA Special Economic Zone in the Philippines. By improving the efficiency of data collection and visualizing policy KPIs, the project aims to establish an operational model that will contribute to the promotion of GX in the Philippines and the strengthening of Japan's supply chains.

Our initiatives

Our company will utilize the "Dataseed SAQ" platform, which streamlines the distribution and response of questionnaires, to support the digitalization of SuRGE reporting by export companies under the jurisdiction of PEZA (pilot participating companies).
Furthermore, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with PEZA on May 15, 2025, and will promote the demonstration project in cooperation with local authorities.
Our company has been selected for the same subsidy again, following its selection in the supplementary budget for fiscal year 2023. As the only private platform provider to have a sole partnership with PEZA, the supervisory body for special economic zones established by the Philippine government, we will promote the digital transformation of sustainability reporting in the country.

Regarding the selection results of indirect subsidy recipients for the FY2024 Supplementary Budget "Global South Future-Oriented Co-creation Project Subsidy (Small-Scale Demonstration/FS Project: Second Call for Applications)"

This subsidy program aims to leverage the growth potential of the Global South countries' markets by addressing their Issue, thereby fostering innovation and revitalizing domestic Industry in Japan, and strengthening economic ties with the Global South countries. To achieve this, it provides subsidies for a portion of the costs necessary to implement the project.
