Michitaka Tokeiji will be speaking at the 25th SMART ENERGY WEEK [Spring] Supply Chain Management World Special Lecture.

We will discuss supply chain Information security from both a global trends and management perspective.

On Wednesday , March 18, 2026, as part of the 25th SMART ENERGY WEEK [Spring] held at Tokyo Big Sight, Michitaka Tokeiji , CEO of Zeroboard Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "our company"), gave a special lecture at Supply Chain Management World.

Tokeiji served as moderator for a discussion titled "Procurement Stops! Global Trends in Supply Chain Information Security and Countermeasures You Can Start Now," with Kenichi Hirano, CEO President of MUFG GMO Edit Company , Ltd., and Atsushi Teraoka, reporter for the Business Reporting Unit of the Nikkei Editorial Bureau, as guests.

The discussion highlighted the need for risk management across the entire chain, including trading partners, in light of the increasing number of supply chain attacks, and explained how attacks are shifting their targets to vulnerable points in the chain. Domestically, initiatives by the defense and automotive Industry, as well as the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's supply chain security evaluation system, were discussed. Internationally, the impact of Europe's Cyber ​​Resilience Act (CRA) and how companies are responding were presented.

The need for a shift in mindset among management was also touched upon, and, using "horror stories" such as business shutdowns as a catalyst, the need to optimize security investments using metrics such as return on investment (ROI) and outcome-driven metrics (ODM) was discussed. It was repeatedly emphasized that effective management requires building partnerships with suppliers, proactive defense by predicting vulnerabilities rather than relying solely on reactive measures, and the application of business continuity planning (BCP) knowledge to the cyber domain to integrate management with IT and security.

Against this backdrop, in response to the need to streamline security surveys and evaluations for business partners, we have begun offering cybersecurity survey items in line with the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Industry's "Cybersecurity Management Guidelines" on our survey distribution and response platform, " Dataseed SAQ ." This will help businesses create a system that allows them to centrally understand the risks of their business partners on the same platform, along with ESG and human rights considerations.
