Mazda introduces " Zeroboard ," a GHG emissions calculation / Visualization solution
Enhance global Scope 1-3 emission amount calculation and management system in anticipation of SSBJ and overseas statutory disclosure

Mazda is working together with partners and local communities to achieve carbon neutrality (CN) throughout its supply chain by 2050. Toward this goal, the company is taking on the challenge of achieving CN at its own global plants by 2035. As part of this, the company has positioned identifying and reducing GHG emission amount from its business activity and highly transparent information disclosure as important themes.
In Japan, corporate disclosure requirements are entering a new phase, with the SSBJ's Sustainability Information Disclosure Standards coming into effect in April 2026. Furthermore, as legal disclosure of emission amount information progresses in various countries and regions overseas, the advancement of emission amount calculation and disclosure has become an unavoidable and important theme for automotive OEMs that operate globally.
Given this background, Mazda is looking ahead to regulations regarding the disclosure of emission amount information and will introduce "Zeroboard" to comply with SSBJ in Japan as well as global statutory disclosure requirements, including at its overseas subsidiaries and corporations.
With this implementation, Mazda will use Zeroboard to calculate not only Scope 1 and 2 emission amount, but also Scope 3 emission amount covering the entire lifecycle, from raw material procurement to production, logistics, use, and disposal. This will enable consistent data management and visualization on a global basis.
In addition to providing "Zeroboard," we will also contribute to the enhancement of Mazda's sustainability management by providing support utilizing our specialized knowledge, such as assistance with the design and operation of the calculation process, Settings medium- to long-term reduction targets, and advising on disclosure responses to domestic and international stakeholders.
