Zeroboard launches third-party assurance support package for GHG emission amount(Scope 1, 2) for SSBJ-compliant companies
Contributing to the early completion of internal preparations to comply with climate-related disclosure standards
Zeroboard Inc.(Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Michitaka Tokeiji; hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), which supports corporate sustainability management, has begun offering a "Third-Party Assurance Support Package" today, March 18, 2026, which provides comprehensive support from calculating corporate GHG emission amount(Scope 1 and 2) to preparing for third-party assurance, in anticipation of the mandatory disclosure of sustainability information based on the SSBJ Standards (for companies with a market capitalization of 3 trillion yen or more) scheduled for the fiscal year ending February 2027.
Background of the package
FY2026 is when the SSBJ standards will become applicable to companies with a market capitalization of 3 trillion yen or more, and companies that will begin applying them from the following fiscal year will be in the preparation and trial phase, and it is expected that practical developments will progress rapidly. In particular, with regard to GHG emission amount(Scope 1 and 2) included in the climate-related standards, a phased introduction of third-party assurance (limited assurance) for fiscal 2027 results is planned(*), which requires not only ensuring calculation accuracy but also the development of explainable processes.
In addition, with the requirement to submit securities reports and make them public before the general shareholders' meeting, it will be essential to have a more rapid data collection system than ever before and to prepare documentation that can withstand verification by guarantee agencies. Furthermore, compliance with general standards will also be required at the same time, and it is expected that the internal work load will increase significantly.
We have already accumulated knowledge of practical issues and Issue in responding to assurance through supporting companies that have been preparing for the SSBJ standards early on. This package will return this practical knowledge to companies, reducing the workload required to comply with climate-related standards and supporting the establishment of a system for responding to third-party assurance.

[Support Contents]
(1) Documentation support for third-party assurance <br />To receive third-party assurance, in addition to confirming the data on "Zeroboard," you will also be required to submit a procedure manual outlining the calculation policy and calculation process.
This support will help you prepare documentation that can withstand warranty claims through the following means:
Provision of procedure manual templates
Advice and suggestions for improvement regarding the Contents provided by customers
In particular, we will brush up on the main points to be checked during the assurance process, such as "purpose and scope," "organizational boundaries and calculation boundaries," "Emission factor selection rules," and "calculation and aggregation procedures." This also includes support for Create responses to the advance questionnaire required by the assurance organization.
(2) Support for responding to inquiries from guarantee institutions
Consultation on the Contents of responses to questions from the guarantee agency
Support for clarifying technical issues and providing supplementary explanations
(3) Operational support by a person in charge, assuming warranty support
Based on the review Contents from the guarantee agency and the need for early disclosure in financial statements, we will provide advice on how to utilize existing functions, ideas for data management and operation, and operational improvements with an eye toward the next fiscal year and beyond.
Going forward, we will continue to strengthen our support by providing practical solutions that enable companies to respond to the increasingly sophisticated disclosure standards required of them, including GHG emission amount calculations and third-party assurance in line with SSBJ standards.
