[From Regulatory Compliance to Value Creation] Zeroboard Hosts Roundtable for Prime-Listed Companies with Deloitte Tohmatsu as Guest

Roundtable discussion: "Uncovering the secrets to transforming sustainability management into corporate competitiveness"

Zeroboard Inc.(Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Michitaka Tokeiji Tokeshi; hereinafter referred to as "our company"), which supports corporate sustainability management, hosted a roundtable discussion titled "Uncovering the secrets to turning sustainability management into corporate competitiveness" on Monday, October 27, 2025, with 12 Prime-listed companies, and invited Deloitte Tohmatsu Risk Advisory Company (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Executive Officer: Atsushi Iwamura; hereinafter referred to as "Deloitte Tohmatsu") as guest speaker.

The Events focused on how sustainability management can be linked to corporate value creation rather than simply complying with regulations, and included lectures featuring leading European cases and discussions between practitioners.

Participants sharing Issue and their company's effortsThe opening speech was given by Fumihiro Nakajima, Managing Director of Deloitte Tohmatsu, entitled "Sustainability management that goes beyond regulatory compliance - How to build sustainability into business, considering precedents in Europe."

Taking into account the latest trends among European companies, the speaker provided practical perspectives on incorporating sustainability into business strategies, as well as the Issue and solutions for utilizing non-financial information in management.

In the subsequent panel discussion, our CSO (Chief Strategy Officer) Taiji Ono served as moderator and deepened discussions with participating companies on the following themes:

  • Integrating business and sustainability

  • How to Promote Supply Chain Management

  • Responding to increasingly complex regulations such as SSBJ, CSRD, the US SEC's climate-related disclosure rules, TCFD, and TNFD

  • Outlook for the environment surrounding sustainability and what actions Japanese companies should take

In particular, participants actively exchanged opinions on the level of third-party assurance required in the first year of the SSBJ standards, which will come into effect in fiscal year 2025, as a use case, as well as the approach to various disclosures and the establishment of internal systems.

Prime-listed companies from a wide range of industries, including electrical equipment, construction, transportation equipment, wholesale and Retail , mining, information and communications, and banking, participated in this roundtable discussion. They shared their efforts and Issue in turning sustainability into a corporate competitive advantage from the perspectives of different Industry .

This roundtable discussion was held with the aim of establishing sustainability as a "mainstream of management" through the sharing of knowledge among practitioners from different industries and positions. Going forward, we will continue to support the advancement of corporate decarbonization and sustainability management through collaboration with specialist institutions and industry leaders.
