(Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO : Michitaka Tokeshi; hereinafter referred to as "our company"), which supports corporate sustainability management, is News to announce that its "GX Implementation Support Project Utilizing SPC Financing in Thai Industrial Estates" has been selected for the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's "Global South GX Promotion Project" subsidy program effective September 12 , 2025.
This project is a business model that enables visualization of GHG (greenhouse gas) emission amount and the introduction of GX equipment with zero initial investment. By utilizing SPC financing in industrial parks in Thailand, the project eliminates the initial costs that are a major barrier for companies, achieving both economic rationality and environmental contribution.
Project background: Supporting GX, a Thai industrial park that serves as a hub for supply chain decarbonization
In response to the global trend toward decarbonization, reducing GHG emissions throughout the supply chain is an urgent priority in Thailand, where many Japanese companies have Manufacturing location. Industrial parks in particular are key location where factories are concentrated, and hold the key to the success of these measures.
Locally, "visualizing emission amount is important, but the high initial investment required for subsequent reductions is a barrier," making it difficult to advance GX.
This project will combine GX facilities from domestic and overseas partners, our GHG visualization technology, and financing through a special purpose Company(SPC) to reduce the initial investment burden on local companies. We will build a highly effective GX model that can consistently implement everything from "visualization" to "reduction"of emission amount.
Summary of selected project
Project name: GX introduction support project using SPC financing in Thai industrial parks Project period: Late October 2025 (planned) to March 31, 2028 at the latest Service: Based on the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's "Promoting GX in the Global South" policy, this project will conduct a feasibility study and demonstration project for implementing an SPC financing scheme that combines the visualization of GHG emission amount with the introduction of GX facilities in an industrial park in Thailand.
Combining the GHG visualization platform with the introduction of renewable energy and energy-saving equipment, we are working with industrial park operators and partner companies to create an SPC. The SPC will install and own the equipment in one go, and provide it to tenant companies on a lease or subscription basis, achieving economies of scale and zero initial cost for the introduction of GX. Furthermore, environmental value will be quantified, leading to increased corporate value through certification by government agencies.
Demonstration project scheme
We will utilize our technology and knowledge to contribute to the promotion of GX in the local area.
About the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's "Global South GX Promotion Project"
This subsidy program aims to promote matching between Tokyo-based companies with advanced GX-related technologies and business models and local companies in the Global South, thereby supporting their local business development. This will contribute to decarbonization in the Global South while also promoting the growth of Tokyo-based companies.
