"Zeroboard for batteries" selected for Ministry of Economy , Industry and Industry demonstration and support project for 4 consecutive term
Following on from last year, we have been selected as a developer of apps for the 2025 7 era, such as for the storage battery carbon footprint.
Zeroboard Inc.(Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO : Tokeshi Michitaka; hereinafter "the Company"), which supports corporate sustainability Industry , is pleased to announce that its " Zeroboard for batteries" (hereinafter "the Solution"), developed for automobile Manufacturing and storage battery Manufacturing -related companies, has been selected for the 4 consecutive term since the initial public offering for the demonstration and support project (hereinafter "the Demonstration Project") run by the General Incorporated Association Low Carbon Investment Promotion Organization (GIO), which is News by the Ministry of 4 , Trade and Industry.

This solution has been adopted for the demonstration project as an application that connects to the Ouranos Ecosystem (* 1 ), a supply chain data collaboration platform promoted by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Industry, in the first demonstration in September 2023, the 2 in April 2024, the 3 in August 2024, and now again, boasting a 100% adoption rate to date. Furthermore, in March 2025, it was the fastest to receive official certification from the Automobile and Battery Traceability Promotion Center.
The company has already received orders from several automotive OEMs, battery manufacturers, and their suppliers, and in this public offering, it will enhance the functionality of the solution by adding carbon footprint (CFP) (* 2) calculations, as well as enhancing the functionality of applications that link human rights, the environment, and due diligence (DD) in the supply chain.
In the future, we will also be working on CFP calculations for storage battery recycling and automobile LCA (* 3).
Background of this demonstration project
As electrified vehicles become more widespread, countries around the world are working to establish rules for the reuse and recycling of used vehicles and storage batteries, as well as to create systems for sharing data across the supply chain.
This demonstration project will collect data on CFP, human rights, and environmental due diligence for storage batteries in the supply chain, and establish a system that will enable the data to be shared and utilized with third parties while protecting confidential information. This is expected to promote the spread of electric vehicles and CO₂ reduction, as well as strengthen Industry competitiveness.

| Subsidy project name | 7 Infrastructure Development and Demonstration Project to Improve the Sustainability of Storage Batteries and Other Products |
| Budget project Ministry/Agency in charge | Ministry of Economy, Industry |
| Contents | Based on the "Beta version of the Guidelines for Data Linkage Mechanisms in Supply Chains" issued by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Industry and the Digital Architecture Design Center of the Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan (IPA), METI will develop and revise a storage battery traceability management system and applications for linking data among companies that actually Manufacturing storage batteries and their components and materials in the storage battery supply chain. The project will also conduct a demonstration of connectivity between systems and applications to ensure traceability, compile carbon footprint values, and appropriately collect the results of human rights and environmental due diligence. With the spread of electric vehicles, it will be necessary to promote efforts to build a battery ecosystem, such as ensuring traceability of the status of battery collection, proper value assessment of used batteries, proper secondary use of automotive batteries, recovery of useful resources, and use of recycled materials. Furthermore, from the perspective of reducing the cost burden on primary consumers and the environmental impact, it will be important to build a system that allows batteries, which have strengths such as the sustainability of battery performance, to be used as effectively as possible throughout the entire battery ecosystem, including secondary use, and we will work to achieve this. |
| Duration | From September 7 to February 8 |

(※ 1) Ouranos Ecosystem is a collective term for an initiative in which industry, academia, and government work together to design architecture, conduct research and development, demonstrate, and implement in society and disseminate systems for sharing and utilizing data across companies, industries, and borders. (※ 2) Carbon Footprint (CFP) is the act of tracking the amount of greenhouse gases emitted at each stage of a product or Service's life cycle, and converting the total amount into CO2. (※ 3) LCA is an abbreviation for Life Cycle Assessment. It is a method of assessing the environmental impact of products and Service, and quantitatively evaluates the environmental load at each stage of the entire life cycle of an individual product or Service(resource extraction, raw material production, product production, distribution, consumption, disposal, and reuse).
