Zeroboard Inc.(Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Michitaka Tokeiji ; hereinafter referred to as "our company"), which supports corporate sustainability management, is News that the Natural Capital Study Group's 2024 results presentation, hosted by its in-house think tank, Zeroboard Research Institute, will be held online on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
Since its establishment in October 2024, the group has conducted activity on nature positivity and natural capital with 10 participating companies, and as a result will announce recommendations for "TNFD(※) disclosure appropriate for your company."
We are looking for participants with a capacity of 150 people, so if you are a company that is interested, please apply.
Purpose of the event
The Natural Capital Study Group is a platform for learning, researching, and acting together with the aim of preserving and sustainably using natural capital, which underpins our future. In fiscal 2024, the group's launch year, it worked with 10 companies seeking to promote natural capital initiatives. The goal was to help participants understand the importance of natural capital and gain practical knowledge. The group engaged in a series of activity, including lectures by experts, group work, and joint research, which led to the holding of a presentation of its results.

We joined the Natural Capital Study Group, wondering if we could use the "Rice Field Creation Project," which we have been working on since 2012 with the aim of raising employee environmental awareness and preserving biodiversity, in TNFD disclosure. Through what we learned at the study group, we realized that although our efforts were conservation activity, they did not yet fall within the realm of TNFD. This led us to believe that by articulating the impact on rare plants and animals, we could actually include this in our TNFD disclosure. The more we participated, the better we were able to visualize the risks and opportunities our business activity pose to the natural environment, and the more we could see the path for activity from the next fiscal year.
Although we are in different industries, we are all in the same position and situation, so a big advantage of this study group is that we can share our concerns with other companies. It is also a big help to be able to consult with the Zeroboard Research Institute, who are TNFD experts. I think we have taken the first step towards our goal of disclosing TNFD in the future.
