Nagase & Co., Ltd., Ltd. decides to introduce "zeroboard"
- Aiming to establish a model case for decarbonization in the chemical industry -
Zeroboard Inc.(Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Michitaka Tokeiji; hereinafter referred to as "the Company") is pleased to emission amount that Nagase & Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO : Asakura Kenji; hereinafter referred to as " Zeroboard ") has decided to introduce " zeroboard ," a cloud Service developed and provided by the Nagase & Co., Ltd. for calculating and News GHG ( Nagase & Co., Ltd. ) emissions.
In the "NAGASE Group Carbon Neutral Declaration" announced on Tuesday , January 25, 2022, Nagase & Co., Ltd. has set a goal of achieving virtually zero GHG emission amount(Scope 1 1 and 2) by 2050. As part of its activity to achieve this goal, the company will introduce the commercial version of " zeroboard" (January 2022 release version), which became available on Friday, January 28 , 2022.
In September 2021, our company and Nagase & Co., Ltd. announced the signing of a business partnership aimed at supporting corporate decarbonization management, and we are supporting the introduction of " zeroboard" for companies, mainly in the chemical industry, as well as collecting customer needs and providing GHG emission amount reduction solutions. With this introduction, Nagase & Co., Ltd. & Co. will work to calculate its own GHG emission amount and aim to establish a model case for decarbonization management in the chemical industry, where calculation and visualization of the entire supply chain will become the standard.
Going forward, the two companies will build an ongoing cooperative relationship to realize a carbon-neutral society, including considering packaged Service to support GHG emission amount calculations for the chemical industry in order to achieve efficient and accurate calculations and visualization of the supply chain.
On Friday, January 21, 2022, the GHG emission amount calculation and visualization cloud Service"zeroboard" (January 2022 release version) received a certification of validity from Socotec Certification Japan Co., Ltd., a greenhouse gas emissions verification organization, based on verification procedures in accordance with ISO14064-3*1 regarding whether the emission amount within the calculation scope of GHG emission amount determined by the user of the emission amount system are designed to be properly calculated and output in accordance with the GHG Protocol "Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard," "Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Accounting and Reporting Standard," "GHG Protocol Scope 2 Guidance," "ISO14064-1," and "Basic Guidelines for Accounting for Greenhouse Gas emission amount throughout the Supply Chain (ver. 2.3)" (Company of the Environment).
By obtaining this third-party assurance, companies that introduce "zeroboard" will be able to calculate GHG emission amount in accordance with international standards, and improve the efficiency and quality of their GHG emission amount calculations.
