Zeroboard begins collaboration with Iwatani Corporation on decarbonization solutions

Zeroboard Inc. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Michitaka Tokeiji ; hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), which develops and provides the GHG (greenhouse gas) emission amount calculation and visualization cloud Service"zeroboard , " has reached a basic agreement to collaborate with Iwatani Corporation (Head office: Osaka and Tokyo; CEO : Hiroshi Majima; hereinafter referred to as " Iwatani Corporation") to provide decarbonization solutions.
The movement toward decarbonization is accelerating globally, and listed companies in particular are now being required to disclose climate-related financial information alongside their financial statements. As the first step in reducing GHG (hereinafter collectively referred to as "CO₂") emission amount , it is necessary to calculate and visualize CO₂ emission amount from the entire supply chain (Scope 3), including the company's own activity(Scope 1 and 2), and many companies are facing Issue due to the complexity of the data collection and calculation process.
Our cloud Service"zeroboard " allows you to calculate CO₂ emission amount from corporate activity and visualize Scope 1 to 3 of the international standard GHG Protocol. Its strength lies in its ability to promote the acquisition of primary data involving suppliers, and it is being used in decarbonization solutions provided by electric power and gas companies and Financial Institution.
In this collaboration, we will provide decarbonization solutions using " zeroboard " mainly to Iwatani Corporation 's client companies. Specifically, we will propose J- Credit transactions , which utilizes the environmental value extracted from the reduced CO2 emissions of small and medium-sized corporate customers to reduce CO2 emissions for large companies, as well as simplifying the calculation of CO2 emission amount for Manufacturing customers and providing planned CO2 reduction solutions.
Service overview
① Valuing CO2 reductions using the J-Credit SchemeName: Iwatani J-Credit Project Contents : Iwatani Corporation will collect the CO2 emission amount reduced by participating customers and apply for J-Credit certification, so customers can participate in the system without the hassle and cost of certification procedures. Customers will receive compensation for Iwatani Corporation's Service based on the amount of CO2 reduction. By turning the surplus CO2 reduction into environmental value, it will be possible to further promote CO2 reduction activity at small and medium-sized enterprises.
Target: Customers who have introduced high-efficiency boilers and use LP gas, LNG, or city gas as boiler fuel
② CO2 emission amount calculation and visualization Service Contents: Each company's gas, electricity, and other usage will be linked to the CO2 emission amount calculation and visualization cloud Service"zeroboard," simplifying the calculation of emission amount and providing centralized management.
We are also planning to add a CO2 reduction proposal simulation function to "zeroboard," which will enable us to propose effective and well-planned reduction plans to our customers.
