Zeroboard signs agreement with The Bank of Iwate, Ltd. and Iwate Town toward regional decarbonization

Zeroboard Inc.(Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Michitaka Tokeiji ; hereinafter referred to as "our company"), which provides " zeroboard ," a solution that supports the calculation, disclosure, and reduction of GHG (greenhouse gas) emission amount , has concluded a tripartite agreement with The Bank of Iwate, Ltd.(CEO: Toru Iwayama) and Iwate Town, Iwate Prefecture (Mayor: Koji Sasaki) to achieve regional decarbonization. This marks the 10th collaboration between our company and a local government in Iwate Prefecture to achieve regional decarbonization.
The three parties will work together to promote the environmental initiatives of Iwate Town, which was designated an "SDGs Future City" by the Cabinet Office in 2020.

On March 6, 2023, our company, The Bank of Iwate, Ltd., and Iwate Town signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to work together to strengthen support for decarbonization in the region through the use of "zeroboard" and to work toward realizing a decarbonized society within March Town.
2. Estimated Schedule

In the future, investments and loans that evaluate contributions to the SDGs, such as sustainability-linked loans, are expected to become more active, and disclosure of GHG emission amount is expected to affect capital costs. By deepening the collaboration between the three parties and providing financing that supports the calculation, visualization and reduction of GHG emissions, the public and private sectors will work together to contribute to the decarbonization of city companies and the realization of a decarbonized region.

About zeroboard
A cloud service for calculating and visualizing the GHG emissions from corporate activities and originating from the supply chain, based on the GHG Protocol(*1) international standards.

- Calculation and visualization of domestic and international supply chain emissions (Scope 1-3 (*1)), emissions by product and service (carbon footprint)
- Collection and monitoring functions by suppliers’ actual performance data
- Multi-languages supported (Japanese, English, Thai, Chinese, Spanish)
- Reliability-certified system validated by a third-party organization (according to ISO 14064-3 (*2))
- Calculation available in compliance with items to be disclosed on various quantitative reports (i.e. Act on Promotion of Global Warming Countermeasures, CDP, TCFD, etc.)
- Provides a variety of reduction support in line with clients’ decarbonization challenges and needs, including sustainable finance, renewable energy and energy efficiency, decarbonization solutions, raw material procurement, and human resources
