Zeroboard Inc.(Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Michitaka Tokeiji ; hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), which develops and provides the CO2 emission amount calculation and visualization cloud Service"zeroboard , " has reached a basic agreement on collaboration (hereinafter referred to as "this collaboration") with MUFG Bank, Ltd. Bank, Company (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Junichi Hanzawa) to achieve carbon neutrality.
As the global trend toward decarbonization continues, many companies are being asked by financial markets and business partners to understand and reduce the CO2 emission amount associated with their business activity , and are facing Issue in responding to these demands.
Against this backdrop, this collaboration will combine MUFG Bank, Ltd. Bank's network and knowledge as a comprehensive financial group with our cloud Service and know-how in decarbonized management to provide solutions that support companies in their efforts to decarbonize their operations.
Specifically, we will be taking the following steps:
- MUFG Bank, Ltd. Bank provides its corporate clients with "zeroboard" to help them calculate their CO2 emission amount
- Development and consideration of financial solutions by MUFG Bank, Ltd. Bank based on " zeroboard" CO2 emission amount data/supply chain data
- Developing open and inclusive partnerships involving Financial Institution and other businesses, and jointly developing and providing solution platforms
- Support for visualization and reduction of CO2 emission amount in global Manufacturing supply chains, primarily in Asia
- Initial study of social impact assessment methods other than CO2 emission amount, visualization methods, and solution provision fields
About zeroboard
This is a cloud Service that calculates the amount of CO2 emitted by corporate activity and visualizes Scope 1 to 3 (*2) of the GHG Protocol (*1), an international standard.
- Calculating supply chain emission amount and CO2 emission amount for each product requires massive data processing
