To date, various international rules have been published for calculating carbon footprints (CFP). Among these, the "Pathfinder Framework" was formulated by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) in 2021 .
The second version (Version 2.0) of the Pathfinder Framework was published in January of this year . The Pathfinder Framework takes the stance that accurate Scope 3 calculation and reduction using primary data is the key to avoiding climate change.
Following the release of Version 2.0, there has been increased activity in building an international data sharing infrastructure , and Zeroboard is also playing a part in this ecosystem by participating in demonstration experiments as a member of the "Green x Digital Consortium," a collaborator in the development of Version 2.0.
